01 / Anton Pisaroglu
Biography
From international rugby to political advisory, international relations and direct investment. A career shaped by competition, responsibility and work across borders.

Origins / Romania
Formed through
competition.
Born in Tecuci, Romania, in 1984, Anton Pisaroglu developed his early career in competitive sport. He graduated from the National Academy of Physical Education and Sport in Bucharest in 2006 and later completed specialist courses at Yale and the University of London.
In rugby, he won multiple national championships with Steaua București at junior and senior level, as well as European championships with Romania’s U20 and military teams. Selected for the junior and senior national squads, he competed at the 2003 U19 World Championship and also represented Romania in rugby sevens.
In combat sambo, he won a bronze medal at the European Championship in Pravets, Bulgaria, as a member of the Romanian team.

Political strategy / Public service
Working at
decisive moments.
His first professional roles were in security, protocol, marketing and public relations. Work in Burkina Faso in 2013 opened a path into Africa that would become central to his career. As he moved into political advisory and electoral campaigns, he drew on principles learned in sport: preparation, a clear strategy, team coordination and the ability to manage decisive moments.
In 2014, he was part of the digital team that helped turn the presidential campaign in Klaus Iohannis’s favour. In 2018, he co-founded H5 Worldwide Strategies, a consultancy in strategic advisory, public affairs and international communication.
Returning to Romania in 2019, he coordinated Viorica Dăncilă’s presidential campaign. She reached the second round despite polling below 10% only a few months earlier. That year, he also served as senior advisor to Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă on international relations.
In 2020, he made a decisive contribution to Nicușor Dan’s victory in the election for mayor of Bucharest. He also worked with Călin Georgescu on his return to Romania.

International work / Europe & Africa
A wider field
of experience.
Anton has advised political leaders, institutions and companies, coordinated offices across five continents and led teams of hundreds. His work expanded across Europe, Asia and Africa, which he came to regard as his second home after Romania.
In 2019–2020, he worked with Alpha Condé, then president of Guinea, and his team. He also served as senior advisor to the president of Sudan and worked with heads of state in the Middle East. In 2020, he was elected vice-president of the Romanian American Business Council.
In Madagascar, he worked on Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko’s 2023 presidential campaign. He is currently senior advisor to both the president of Madagascar and the president of its National Assembly.
He participates in international discussions on Europe–Africa relations and geopolitical developments. In 2024, he was an invited speaker at the Europe–Africa Forum organised by La Tribune in Marseille.
The next chapter / Technology & investment
Building
lasting capability.
After the annulment of Romania’s 2024 presidential election, Anton announced his intention to run for president in 2025. Despite collecting more than 200,000 supporting signatures, he chose not to formally submit his candidacy and to contribute from outside the electoral contest to resolving the political impasse.
Developing a vision for the country strengthened his conviction that deep digitalisation and digital sovereignty are essential to a modern state. Demand for technology solutions in emerging countries encouraged him to invest directly in the sector.
He took full control of Trencadis, a major Romanian systems integrator, and relaunched it with the ambition of establishing an international presence in digital sovereignty. Drawing on Romanian expertise in complex systems, the company aims to build and export integrated digital sovereignty solutions based on artificial intelligence.
His investments also extend to strategic resources and precious metals. He holds majority stakes in Pan African Niger, in uranium mining, and Pan African Madagascar, in gold mining.

Personal commitments
Sport, community
and family.
In 2021, Anton was elected vice-president of the Romanian Rugby Federation. He is also senior advisor to the African Judo Federation and has continued to support Romanian rugby through sponsorship of junior and youth teams and events.
Rooted in Romanian Orthodoxy, he has contributed to the founding of churches in Romania and Italy and provided financial support to several patriarchates.
He is the father of two children: Patrick, who studies at a business university in Barcelona, and his younger child, Anne, who plays volleyball.
